(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — I-25 south of Pueblo from Mile Marker 91 to the New Mexico state line is closed in both directions due to weather, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

"Although Pueblo roadways are just wet, heavy snow and adverse driving conditions south of Pueblo require a closure for the safety of the traveling public," wrote CDOT on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 10 a.m. "Please seek an alternate route and expect long delays."

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) said only local traffic for those who live in Colorado City, Rye, and Walsenburg will be allowed to travel to those locations. PCSO said the interstate would be closed indefinitely and would give drivers an update when things open back up.
