Sports 'I'm Over It!' Saquon Barkley Responds to Giants Fans Ahead of Week 3 Matchup vs. Browns

Former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, now with the Philadelphia Eagles, remains a hot topic among Giants fans following his offseason departure.

The former Giants star has received both praise and criticism for his tantalizing highlights and, more recently, a game-losing lowlight.

As the Giants prepare for their Week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, they've shifted focus to Devin Singletary in the backfield, aiming for their first win of the season.

Barkley, who signed a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the Eagles, has already made an impact in Philadelphia. However, his exit from New York has stirred mixed emotions, especially after his potential game-winning catch for the Eagles in Week 2 slipped through his hands, leading to backlash from Giants fans .

'They still don't get it, but I'm over that." Barkley said, via nj.com . "I appreciate the love and the hate at the same time. I'm doing something right for everyone to be talking about me,"

While he acknowledges his chapter with the Giants is closed, Barkley is focused on building his legacy with the Eagles.

Meanwhile, the Giants are adjusting to life without Barkley, relying on Singletary, who has been a bright spot in an otherwise struggling offense. Through two games, Singletary has rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. His performance will be crucial against a Browns defense that has allowed an average of 149 rushing yards per game through the first two weeks.

In Week 2, Singletary posted 95 rushing yards on 16 carries against Washington. Despite the Giants' poor run-blocking, Singletary's ability to generate yards after contact has kept the offense afloat.

With a critical matchup against Cleveland approaching, head coach Brian Daboll will look to Singletary to continue leading the ground game. If Singletary can capitalize on the Browns' defensive struggles, the Giants could secure their first victory of the season.
