“I’m Sorry”: Mike Tyson Confronted by the Man He Robbed as a Teenager in Resurfaced Clip

It is no secret that Mike Tyson had a troubled childhood. Growing up in Brownsville, Brooklyn, one of New York's most troublesome and poverty-stricken neighborhoods was hard. Adding the fact that his father abandoned his family early on, and owing to the strained relationship with his mother, it was an unstable environment for the boxing phenom.

To survive, Tyson had to get involved in illegal activities like robberies. By the time he was 13, he had been arrested nearly 40 times and had visited almost every juvenile center in the area. That is where his life changed when he met his trainer, Cus D'Amato. Those times were hard, and it took Tyson a very long time to mend his ways. But now that he is a completely changed man and can look back at his past with a different perspective. Recently, an old clip has resurfaced which showed the Brooklyn native meeting a man he robbed in his childhood in a rather wholesome conversation showing how the times have changed completely.

Mike Tyson's trip to past For building up Tyson's upcoming fight against Jake Paul on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, Netflix has released a three episode mini series leading up to the fight. The first episode features an old clip of Mike Tyson meeting a man he robbed in his childhood.

The episode features the legendary boxer going back to his old neighborhood in Brownsville and visiting his old apartment. That is where a fan came up to him and asks for a selfie. Mike Tyson obliged and while taking the selfie, the man whispered, "You robbed me when I was 8 years old on Amboy and Pitkin," in Tyson's ear.

The sudden playful confrontation took the 58-year-old by surprise. "I robbed you?" asked Tyson, as he was quite shocked and amused by it. With a huge smile on his face, the former heavyweight champion then stated, "Now he's blaming me for robbing him. N***a got robbed," while hugging the man.

Tyson than apologized to the man and stated, " I'm sorry," but it looks like the man held no grudge against the boxer as he stated "No, don't worry about it baby," with both men sharing a laugh.

While the Netflix and MVP have left no strings unturned to hype up the upcoming fight, fans are still confused by Tyson's decision. With crippling and deteriorating health at the age of 58, this match against Jake Paul seems like an unnecessary risk. Well, earlier in the episode, Iron Mike revealed his reason for agreeing to the fight, and it is more than just money.

Tyson's lost fire reignited According to the 50-6 boxer, he had no intentions of coming out of the retirement and was having fun in his personal life. "I was just enjoying life. Smoking a lot of w**d, doing a lot of mu*****ms. Just enjoying life. Doing whatever I want," stated Tyson.

But after seeing the challenge by El Gallo, something clicked inside him. According to Tyson, Paul, despite being "a little pipsqueak, he ignited the fire in me." For him , this fight is more than just about money .

The Brooklyn-native knows that winning this fight would make him immortal. After everything that Mike Tyson has given to boxing, there is nothing left for him to prove. Whether this fight will make him immortal or will turn into a nightmare is yet to be seen. But the way the Tyson has completely changed his life is a remarkable feat that should inspire everyone.
