In the region: W&L football loses in Texas
SAN ANTONIO — Tyler Huettel kicked three field goals to help the Trinity football team beat Washington and Lee 16-10 on Saturday.
Uno Christopher scored on a 65-yard interception return to give W&L (1-2) a 7-6 lead late in the first quarter. But it was W&L's lone touchdown of the game.
Johnny Milo scored on a 6-yard run to give Trinity (2-1) the lead for good at 13-7 with 7:51 left in the second quarter. Huettel kicked a 19-yard field goal to extend the lead to 16-7 later in the quarter.
Ty Collins of W&L completed 12 of 21 passes for 100 yards with two interceptions.
Maryville 54, SVU 6
Bryson Rollins threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead the Scots (2-1, 1-0 USA South) past the host Knights (0-3, 0-1).
Tyreeck Hall scored on a 1-yard run for SVU.
Berry 28, No. 9 Randolph-Macon 24
Brandon Cade scored on a 1-yard run with 1:16 left to give Berry (2-1) a win over the host Yellow Jackets (2-1) on Saturday.
Berry snapped the Yellow Jackets' 28-game regular-season winning streak.
Hampton 27, Howard 20
Ja'Quan Snipes ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns to lead Hampton (3-1) past Howard (2-2) in "The Battle of the Real HU" on Saturday at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.

Quinn Kunath, Carter Laatsch, Girom Affolter and Michael Ramsey scored in the second half to give the host Maroons (3-0-2) a win over Centre (6-1-1) on Friday night.

Avery Myers had 16 kills and 12 digs to lead the Generals (13-0) to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-11 win over Berea in Danville on Saturday.
Grace Mitchener had 12 kills and 17 digs to lead W&L to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-19 win over host Averett earlier Saturday.
On Friday night, the Generals beat host Guilford 25-14, 25-17, 25-5. Myers had 11 kills and 11 digs in that win.
Virginia Tech 3, Rider 1
Jasmine Robinson had seven aces and nine kills to lead the host Hokies (6-4) to a 25-23, 25-24, 21-25, 25-18 win over Rider (1-10) on Friday night.
