ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The new school year is underway, and the City of Rochester is working alongside Rochester Public Schools to create a safe routes to school plan and wants your input.

The plan will recommend ways to make walking and biking to school easier and safer for students and families at elementary schools across the district.

A Minnesota Department of Transportation grant provides the planning support to create this plan.

The city and RPS welcome and encourage public input for the plan, which will be developed throughout the 2024-2025 school year.

A survey and interactive map are available now through October 15.
