Instant observations: NC State coasts past Stanford
NC State spent its first open week of the season self-evaluating how to correct itself after a 4-4 start to a highly-anticipated 2024 campaign. And whatever the Wolfpack coaching staff found during the self-scout, well, it worked.The Pack breezed past Stanford, 59-28, in a dominant win on Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium during the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Freshman quarterback CJ Bailey paced the Wolfpack offense with an efficient passing day, going 18-of-20 for 234 yards and three touchdowns through the air. And as he excelled with the Pack's signal-caller in his fifth-career start, NC State's rushing attack found a new gear against the Cardinal.
