Iranian woman with dual passports among the 124 illegal immigrants detained at the border
The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers encountered 124 illegal immigrants in Normandy, Texas.
According to an X post by Lt. Chris Olivarez, troopers responded to a large group of immigrants in Normandy, just outside of Del Rio. A total of 124 immigrants were accounted for, including single adults and unaccompanied children.
Olivarez said DPS arrested 27 illegal immigrants from Brazil, Peru, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador for criminal trespass. They were taken into custody at the Val Verde Processing Center.
Of those 27 arrested there was a woman from Iran who was turned over to intelligence specialists as a subject of interest. Masoumeh Fooladlou had two passports, one from Iran and another from Brazil.DPS referred family groups and 22 unaccompanied children to the U.S. Border Patrol.
