ISU men dominate in record-setting shooting performance, women win home debut

NORMAL, Illinois (WMBD) – The Illinois State men and women swept a doubleheader at CEFCU Arena Sunday afternoon.

The men defeated NAIA school Trinity Christian College out of Chicago in a 107-52 dominating performance. The Redbirds hit 20 three-pointers in the win, a program record for most in a single game.

True freshman Jack Daugherty could not miss from long range, making 8 of 15 three-pointers, which tied the most from a player in a single game.

The Redbird women won 71-55 over Le Moyne College, which is from Syracuse, New York.
