Jaguars' Cam Robinson to miss time with knee injury, but should be back for playoffs
The Jacksonville Jaguars are riding high off their seventh win in eight games, putting them in first place in the AFC South, a division they won last season. The Jags are playing good football right now after some clunkers and they may be tested even more after the loss of a key offensive lineman.
Cam Robinson, who left Sunday's win after 12 offensive plays, is expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a knee injury, according to Ian Rapoport. The Jaguars placed him on injured reserve shortly after, meaning he will miss at least four games.
It's possible that he will miss the rest of the regular season, but he should be healthy for the playoffs which start in seven weeks. There's a chance his 2023 regular season is cut to just seven games after he missed the first four games of the season due to a suspension.
The 28-year-old has started every game of his NFL career to this point, all of them with the Jaguars. His only full season came in 2020, but Robinson has been reliable throughout his career, playing at least 14 games in five seasons.
There's a chance the Jaguars get the top seed in the AFC in which case they'd get another bye week during the first round of the playoffs. Cam Robinson should be in great shape by then and ready to protect Trevor Lawrence as Jacksonville tries to go on another playoff run.
The Jags' offensive line has done well keeping Lawrence on his feet as he's been sacked 25 times in 11 games. They'll have their hands full without Robinson for the next month or so.
