Jalen Hurts MVP odds: Eagles QB is the betting favorite after win over the Chiefs

It certainly wasn’t the Eagles best performance, but their Week 11 win over the Chiefs was enough to propel some future odds, including Jalen Hurts for MVP. Heading into the matchup, Hurts’ chance to win the award was +280, but moved to +250 after the win, according to DraftKings Sportsbook .

Weather conditions hampered the passing attack, and the QB had his lowest passing game of the season with 150 yards on 14-of-22 attempts. He had zero passing touchdowns and one interception, but did score two TDs on the ground. Even after what might have been his least effective game of the season, Hurts’ odds still improved because he’s one of the best in the league on a team that is riding a 9-1 record.

With his two rushing touchdowns, Hurts topped Cam Newton for most rushing TDs by a quarterback in their first four seasons — he earned the No. 1 spot with his first score, and then started padding his lead with the second.

Things have been sloppy and inconsistent for the Birds this season, but they still find ways to make plays when they need to, and get wins. It’s incredible how far they’ve been from playing a complete game, and how much success they’ve had regardless. The potential for this team, in large part due to Jalen Hurts, is impressive.
