Milton, Pa. — James A. "Pops" Eichenlaub, 76, of Milton died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024 at Wellspan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born Jan. 11, 1948 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Milnor and Rose (Snyder) Eichenlaub. James was a graduate of Warrior Run High School, class of 1967. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Vietnam era. He was employed as a drill press operator at ACF Industries, Milton, retiring in 2006.

He cherished spending time with his family and "adopted" family. He loved pets including his dog, Lucky, and his cat, Dusty. James enjoyed going antiquing and to auctions.

Surviving is a son, Jamie (Kay) Eichenlaub, of Hampton, Va.; two daughters, Jennifer Eichenlaub, of Harrisburg, and Leah Comly, of Hughesville; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Lovett, Cameron Eichenlaub, Devin Eichenlaub, Sierra Ramos, Kali Dimic, Marissa Shy, Coral Miller, Amber Comly, Brandan Comly, Daylin Comly, and Rayden Comly; six great grandchildren; Hannah Manning, of Bloomsburg, a cousin who was raised by James's mother, Rose Eichenlaub; a sister Sally (Carl) Minier, of Montoursville; and two brothers, Ben (Edith) Eichenlaub, of Muncy, and John (Linda) Eichenlaub, of Watsontown.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by brothers Tom Snyder and Dan Eichenlaub; and a nephew, Johnny Eichenlaub.

A celebration of James's life will be announced at a later date.
