It all boils down to this point. After a hectic tennis season, and the year-ending showdown, the ATP Finals are just days away. The top eight players of the season will descend to Turin to stake a claim at winning the year-ending championships. However, there emerges a clear favorite to win the tournament, and it is none other than Jannik Sinner. The Italian star dominated the men's circuit this year and won several big titles, including the Australian Open and the US Open. Ahead of the ATP Finals, he received a warm surprise from his fans.

The ATP Finals will be held in Turin, Italy which is Sinner's native country. Owing to his domination in the men's circuit, Sinner has won over numerous fans back home. The Italian has already made his way to Turin and was seen at the Principi di Piemonte hotel where several fans greeted him with a warm chant, "Olé olé olé olé, Sinner Sinner." Additionally, fans have been crowding at the hotel ever since Sinner arrived, with the hope that they will be able to meet their hero and hug him.

Sinner, who didn't disappoint his fans, greeted his fans while he was protected by the cordon of the police. This didn't stop Sinner from shaking hands and hugging his fans, while promising, "See you soon". Interestingly, Sinner's team also received a similar reception, with his coach Darren Cahill signing autographs for the fans.

Fans are hoping that Sinner could go a step ahead this time and win his maiden ATP Finals title. Last year, he reached the summit clash before losing against Novak Djokovic. Interestingly, Sinner had defeated the Serb in the round-robin stage but couldn't get past him in the finals.

Sinner is fully fit now and raring to go at the ATP Finals. Last week, he made a concerning revelation. But now he hopes to put on a good show in Turin.

Upon further tests, it was revealed that Sinner was suffering from an illness and wasn't physically fit completely to play in Paris.

Announcing his withdrawal from the tournament, Sinner said, "My team and I arrived early to prepare as best as possible, but unfortunately, I started feeling unwell during training and saw the doctor on Sunday. It turns out I've come down with a virus. I'm feeling better now, but I'm still not ready to compete here in Paris."

Subsequently, he arrived in Turin early and confirmed that he had recovered well and is raring to go in the ATP Finals. Sinner will be the top seed in the tournament, with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev being the other strong contenders in the fray.
