Joy will be performing inside Lincoln Financial Field ahead of the Eagles game Thursday night.
On the "New Heights" podcast he hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, the legendary Eagles center said he and Mt. Joy, which was formed by Conestoga High School graduates Matt Quinn and Sam Cooper, will play a new song together before the 8:15 p.m. game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Kelce said he and the band will be performing a song from the upcoming holiday benefit album "A Philly Special Christmas Party," which releases Nov. 22. The song, "Santa Drives An Astrovan," is a festive reimagining of Mt. Joy's song "Astrovan," and will be available to stream Friday. The song was teased on Instagram Monday. "I'm performing the song that we recorded for the album live at the Linc before the game starts with Mt. Joy," Kelce said.
The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed to Patch the performance will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday on the Pepsi Plaza stage behind the Miller Lite Fieldhouse inside Lincoln Financial Field. So to catch the performance, you'll need a ticket to Thursday's game.
But the elder Kelce said he's unsure of the performance.
"The Eagles are about to play the most important game of the year," he said. "And me and Mt. Joy are going to go in there before the game kicks off and perform a Christmas song because we want to help raise money."
The initial plan was to perform in the parking lot of Lincoln Financial Field, he said. But he said the performance will take place on a stage in the Linc.
