Jefferson Co. woman charged with allegedly stealing from local non-profit
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 37-year-old Calcium woman that was an employee with the Disabled Persons Action Organization is facing charges of stealing nearly $3,700 from the organization.
According to Watertown Police, Stephanie Nathan was charged with first-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny. The charges stem from Nathan allegedly depositing four different paychecks into two different bank accounts in September.

Authorities allege that Nathan altered the checks to accomplish this. She was also unemployed at the time according to police.
The Disabled Persons Action Organization is a local Watertown-based nonprofit that helps children and adults with developmental disabilities.
