During his gymnastics career, the Filipino history-maker has had to visit a long list of international cities for his meets, and it was only natural that he'd like to celebrate in a similar way after his Parisian triumph. The Olympic champ's relationship with girlfriend Chloe San Jose has been a subject of great interest in recent times. With the rift between Yulo and his mother coming to light, fans have often taken digs at Jose for contributing to more tension in the situation. But the celebrity model has claimed that she and her bae are doing well to keep their minds away from the harsh critics.

Chloe's appearance got people sneering at Yulo's mom GMA Network recently shared a clip of San Jose from the popular Filipino show It's Showtime as she talked about how she's come under scrutiny recently, especially after Carlos' double gold-winning performance at the Paris Games earlier this year. There, Yulo's girlfriend also mentioned how things have been off late for the couple ever since he returned from his Parisian campaign with flying colors. During the conversation, one of the hosts asked how San Jose and Carlos have been enjoying themselves in recent months. In answer, she acknowledged that it has been a pretty good ride so far.

"He won travel; we just traveled; that's all around the world," said Jose, and the hosts couldn't help but take a dig at Angelica Yulo at this point. One of them said that Chloe and Carlos Yulo's lavish lives are probably why the gymnast's mother isn't happy with them. "That's why the mother is even more angry with you," joked the show's host, and all of them on the stage burst out in collective laughter.

"Refocusing him in order for him to understand where he needs to put his energy in," said mind coach Hazel Calawod about how it was a difficult thing to keep Carlos composed . However, it seems like despite the rough patch, Yulo is finally at a place where he can savor his titular achievements. But it came at a price.

Even recently, as she shared how her modeling career has taken an upward jump, fans were once again displeased at how she took the limelight away from her Olympian boyfriend.

Luckily, Carlos has something to look forward to and keep himself engaged. Thanks to his groundbreaking achievement of hauling the first gymnastics medal for the Philippines, the authorities of the country are looking to send even more gymnasts to the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. In that squad, Yulo might be accompanied by his younger brother Eldrew, marking another milestone for the country upon the grandest stage of sports.
