Kentucky man to serve over 29 years in prison for child pornography offenses
OWENSBORO, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Kentucky man was sentenced to federal prison for producing and possessing child pornography.
On Friday, the Department of Justice said 46-year-old Steven Ray Buchanan, of Madisonville, was sentenced to 29 years and 6 months in federal prison.

According to court documents, Buchanan will serve a lifetime term of supervised release after his prison sentence on four counts of producing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.
The department said Buchanan possessed over 1,200 images and 4 videos of child pornography, including videos and pictures he took of two young girls while they were in his bedroom. Upon his release, Buchanan will be required to register as a sex offender. Buchanan was also ordered to pay $24,000 in restitution.
There is no parole in the federal system.
