Kirk Herbstreit furious over LSU fans throwing trash after facemask penalty: 'Enough is enough, clowns'
LSU has been shooting itself in the foot all night with penalties, backing themselves up, or extending Alabama drives. One in the third quarter was a facemask on Jalen Milroe, giving Alabama a third down after seemingly forcing a punt. Not too many people inside Tiger Stadium agreed with the call and reacted by throwing trash onto the field.
Officials had to stop the play while stadium employees cleared the playing surface. ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit was not too happy, calling them "clowns" for throwing the trash. He referenced what we saw unfold in Austin during the Georgia game, pinpointing it as the start of this recent trend.
"Why does that have to become a thing this year?" Herbstreit asked. "Some idiots do this at Texas and all of a sudden, we see it popping up in college football. Enough is enough, clowns... This is just stupid."
