[1] Heavy snow is widespread across New Mexico – Winter Storm Warnings are widespread across New Mexico. Temperatures are mostly ranging from the upper single digits to the lower 40s across the state. Areas that see the biggest impacts are East Mountains to Santa Rosa, the northern mountains including Los Alamos, and the I-25 corridor from Santa Fe to Colorado, along with northeast New Mexico. Heavy snow is expected to continue around New Mexico through Thursday and into Friday.
[2] Roads and power impacted by snow storm – The winter storm has brought dangerous conditions to roads in New Mexico and continues to impact power around the state. As of Thursday morning, the PNM Outage Map shows over 50,000 customers without power.
[3] The Food Depot cancels distributions due to winter storm – The Food Depot said they're ensuring the safety of the community by closing pantries and mobile distributions across Northern New Mexico. Thursday, the Food Depot is cancelling operations at Siler Rd. in Santa Fe and Los Cerrillos. Friday, the Food Depot will close stagecoach mobile in Santa Fe, Casita de Comida in Española and the mobile food pantry in Las Vegas.
[4] Marble Brewery announces potential buyer – A popular Albuquerque brewery may soon be under the control of new owners. In a statement Marble Brewery said the sale is not final yet but that the prospective buyer is "prepared to lead" its evolution. They said the sale is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
[5] Dozens of chihuahuas rescued from hoarder house in Socorro have been adopted – More than half of the 98 chihuahuas rescued from a Socorro hoarder house in April have a new home. East Mountain Companion Animal Project, Animal Humane New Mexico, and Española Humane rescued the chihuahuas. East Mountain led the operation and said the dogs were malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas.
