Kylie Minogue has opened up about her newfound sense of confidence and liberation at age 56.

Appearing on Sunday night's episode of The Project, The Australian pop star shared her excitement for the upcoming shows and the inspiration behind them, hinting at a nostalgic journey through her illustrious career.

Reflecting on her current state of mind, Kylie revealed, 'I feel like, I don't know, maybe that's just something that comes with age or things going quite well.

'Inhabiting my body and myself, and that is quite liberating and I'm enjoying it.'

The Can't Get You Out of My Head hitmaker's excitement for her tour was palpable as she delved into her preparations, revealing she had been diving deep into her musical archives.

In doing so, she stumbled upon a memorable performance at Liverpool's Cream Nightclub from 1994, where she performed a 12-minute version of Confide in Me.

'I came across something the other day... I must have been out there doing this kind of 12-minute version of Confide in Me, and I was like, "Could someone have just said that's a bit much for her to carry?" But no, she was out there!' Kylie said with a laugh.

Kylie reminisced about the hypnotic and trance-like qualities of the music from that era, hinting that she plans to bring some of that energy back for her Aussie fans.

'There was some of the music in that which was so kind of hypnotic and trance-like, and I just thought, wow, I'm bringing some of that back,' she shared.

As always, Kylie's charm and wit were on full display during the interview.

The pop princess also shared her latest binge-worthy recommendation – the US comedy series Hacks, which she caught up on during her flight to Singapore.

'Hacks is great! Oh my god, the quality is off the chart,' Kylie raved, before excitedly sharing that she had received a surprise shoutout in the show.

'I got a name drop on Hacks. So that was pretty exciting!' she added with a playful grin.

Kylie's upcoming tour promises to be a thrilling blend of past and present, as the music icon continues to evolve while embracing the liberating confidence she's found in her 50s.

Aussie fans can look forward to a dynamic show filled with iconic hits, hypnotic beats, and plenty of Kylie's signature sparkle.
