La Esperanza to partner with San Angelo ISD for immunization clinic

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —San Angelo Independent School District is partnering with La Esperanza to host an immunization clinic for students on Sept. 30.

According to a press release from SAISD, the clinic will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the SAISD Administration Building, located at the event is located at 1621 University Ave. No payment is needed at the time of immunization. However, there will be a charge of $13.75 for one vaccine or $23.75 for those without insurance.

A parent picture ID, student shot records, and insurance card are needed at the clinic as immunization records will be updated on-site. Children aged 5-17 must be in attendance with a parent or guardian to sign consent forms. SAISD noted that the vaccines are "Texas-required immunizations."

To be exempt from the Texas-required immunizations parents must submit an Affidavit of Exemption for Reasons of Conscience that will be good for 2 years once submitted.
