Lake Antoine Park completes first phase of Sunset Beach project

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - Lake Antoine Park opened its new sunset viewing space on Wednesday.

The first phase of the Lake Antoine Sunset Beach project is complete.

The front of the Lake Antoine Beach house has been converted into an accessible sunset viewing platform.

Lake Antoine Park Partners Treasurer Ann Hruska says she's happy with the results.

"Yes, it's been a year or a year and a half in planning, and you know that anxiousness of waiting all summer long to see if construction was going to start," Hruska said. "But we're very pleased with it."

The Lake Antoine Park Partners hope to add an all-ages play area near the beach next year.
