RHOSLC Recap: Lisa Throws Necklace Whitney Gifted Her in Trash

D.Miller2 hr ago
Lisa Barlow is making her feelings toward Whitney Rose known.

On the Oct. 16 episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City , the conversation about Whitney's jewelry line's validity continued. Whitney then revealed that she got a call from the hotel after the group's trip to Milwaukee saying they found a necklace from Whitney's brand Prism left behind.

"It was Lisa Barlow's," she said after a clip showed that it was in Lisa's room. "Here's the thing: I was going hard for Meredith [Marks] that night, why are you going for my business?"

Heather Gay then said Meredith wasn't actually the one who started the narrative that Whitney's jewelry brand Prism was resold from the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, but rather Lisa.

"Lisa told Meredith, Meredith told me, I told you," Heather divulged. "But it's more than the business stuff. It feels like you're taking it really personally."

"Because it is personal," Whitney exclaimed. "This is my business, my brand. It's not just something that popped up."

Knowing Lisa didn't care to bring home the necklace and that she was the person who started the rumor about her line, Whitney began to speculate about where Lisa's anger came from.

"After I got that call from Charles at the Kinn, I started thinking, 'Lisa is vindictive,'" Whitney explained in her confessional. "She must still be mad at me about that podcast because why else would she toss the necklace I gifted her into the trash?"

Whitney then told Heather she realized she "got it wrong" when she was lashing out at Meredith on the trip and grew upset at Lisa for allowing Meredith to take the blame. Later in the episode, Whitney reached out to a friend to try to find proof that Lisa was leaking the rumor to social media gossip accounts as well.

"Adam is a casual friend of mine who is also a podcaster, and he is friends with the person that runs the account that posted that Prism's jewelry comes from Alibaba," she said. "So I asked Adam to reach out to the account to see if he could find out who fed the story because I have my suspicions but I need the proof."

"It is someone who you're close to who is putting this information out," Adam told Whitney on the phone.

When Whitney asked if the account confirmed it was Lisa, Adam revealed they said it was the person in the group that has a liquor brand — and the only person who does is Lisa.

"On one hand it's validating, but at the same time, I really didn't want it to be true because it means that I have a friendship that was potentially never really real in the first place," Whitney said.
