Lakewood police searching for driver of truck involved in hit-and-run

DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Lakewood Police Department is searching for the driver of a vehicle that officers believe was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday at about 11:54 p.m.

Officers responded to the entrance of 715 Kipling St., which is the address of a Hometown Suites hotel. The area is near the Lakewood High School and the Sixth Avenue Freeway.

Police said the driver of a blue truck was leaving the hotel parking lot when the truck collided with a motorcycle.

The Lakewood agency said the blue truck's driver fled the scene immediately, and the motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital with several serious injuries.

The truck is described as an "older blue truck" with damage to the driver's side rear quarter panel. The driver was described as white, older, and male with white hair. The truck was last seen driving north on Kipling Street.
