FOOD BANK & BREAKFAST: Peter's Porch will host a free community Breakfast and Food Bank from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Lititz Mennonite Church, 165 Front St., Suite 11, Lititz. The free breakfast is open to everyone and features homemade pancakes, eggs, baked oatmeal and more. Food Bank has several designated areas for groceries. Volunteers available to assist those who have a need. Children's story time at 9 a.m. There's also a children's clothing closet. For more information, contact the church, 717-626-8237.
: Faith United Church of Christ, 1204 Wabank Road, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Open to the public. Menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, home fried potatoes (with and without onions), pancakes (with or without blueberries), French toast, white and whole wheat toast, orange juice, tea, and coffee. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 12, and children 3 and under eat for free. Takeouts are available. All veterans, presenting proper ID, will receive free admission. HOLIDAY BAZAAR: A Crafter's Holiday Bazaar is being held at the Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church, 2620 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Open to the public. Handcrafted items will be offered for sale by 18 local crafters. An assortment of 60 themed gift baskets and baked goods will be available. A light lunch will also be offered.
DOG ADOPTION: Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9, at its Golden Gateway facility, 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds. Open to the public. HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Millersville Area Historical Society will host a free-to-the-public presentation, titled "The Old Historic Barns of Lancaster County and Other Areas of Southeastern Pennsylvania," at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Millersville Borough Administration & Police Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Millersville. : Luther Acres will host a Pop-Up Furniture Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9, at 515 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz (near the St. Matthew Road entrance). The rain date will be Saturday, Nov. 16. Open to the public. The outdoor sale will include a variety of used furniture pieces, including dressers, end tables, chairs and more. Only cash or checks accepted. No early birds. All proceeds benefit the charitable actions of the Luther Acres Residents' Council.
