Lane Kiffin fires back at Mike Elko after A&M coach trolled him about night games
Lane Kiffin has responded back to Mike Elko after a comment aimed at him last night.
At the end of last month, Kiffin was frustrated by the lack of night games at home this season for Ole Miss . With that, Elko referenced that point on Wednesday during his radio show as a jab at Kiffin. Now, Kiffin has tweeted out his comeback this morning as he maintained his point and told him to check the stats.
"Trade you anytime Coach. Not fair to our fans," Kiffin wrote on Twitter. "Btw check out QB play and scoring at night home and on the road."
Again, this comes this morning after Elko mentioned Kiffin's complaints on the latest edition of 'The Aggie Football Hour' yesterday.
"Another night game at Kyle Field," Elko said. "We appreciate those. Apparently, that's all we play anymore...We get them all and Lane wants more so that's okay. Him and I, we'll swap next year or something."
Kiffin had noted the amount of night games at home that some teams were and were not getting around the Southeastern Conference during a press conference on October 28th. That point was one that was Ole Miss vs. considering how many they had gotten in Death Valley as compared to them in Oxford, especially with the announcement that day that the Rebels would be playing Georgia in the afternoon window while the Tigers hosted Alabama afterward that night. Still, the results at least went Kiffin's way with Ole Miss pulling the upset at Vaught-Hemingway and LSU losing by almost 30 inside Tiger Stadium.
Elko got himself involved, though, with the Aggies' own home field in College Station.
