Lanes closed on Ashley Phosphate due to auto-pedestrian incident

(WCBD) – Police in North Charleston are investigating an incident that has left lanes closed on a major roadway.

Officers are on the scene of an auto-pedestrian collision on Ashley Phosphate Road. All lanes on Ashley Phosphate at Stall Road running towards I-26 are closed, the agency said via X.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for unknown injuries. Police did not give an estimate on when the roadway will reopen.

The North Charleston Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
