Sports Las Vegas Raiders Promote Former First-Round Bust to Active Roster

Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is returning to practice this week after suffering a high ankle sprain which saw him miss the team's week three victory over the Cleveland Browns, however, that hasn't stopped the team from signing a safety net just in case.

ESPN's Paul Gutierrez reported that the Raiders have signed former first-round bust K'Lavon Chaisson to the active roster which could see him take Crosby's spot for the second straight week.

In week four against the Browns, Chaisson had 4 tackles en route to the team's 20-16 win and could be in line to prove himself once again as the Raiders head to Denver to face the Broncos in a crucial divisional matchup.

Crosby has missed every practice in the leadup to the team's week five matchup and was listed as a limited participant in Friday's practice session by head coach Antonio Pierce.

A crucial loss for the squad every week he misses, Crosby has had an impressive start to the season despite his injury troubles as he has racked up 14 total tackles and three sacks in three games played this campaign.

With his injury status trending in the right direction, Raider Nation should expect to see Crosby back in action during the week six home bout against the Steelers if he can't go this week.
