Another sunny and warm day is in store for the region with highs in the 70s. Quiet weather will prevail this week. Temperatures will be above normal, but highs will generally remain in the 70s with morning lows in the 40s and 50s.

Looking ahead into next week, confidence is increasing in a strong cold front entering North Texas during the first half of next week bring much cooler temperatures and rain chances to the region.

The Philippines issued fresh weather warnings on Tuesday as the fifth major storm in three weeks bore down on the archipelago, days after thousands were evacuated ahead of Typhoon Toraji.The government said it had evacuated more than 32,000 people from vulnerable areas in the northern Philippines ahead of Toraji's Monday landfall, weeks after Severe Tropical Storm Trami, Typhoon Yinxing and Super Typhoon Kong-rey killed a combined 159 people.

An area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean Sea has a 40 percent chance of developing into a tropical system sometime in the next seven days, according to the National Hurricane Center. If the storm develops, it would be named "Sara", and most likely drift over Central America before dying off next week. However, at least one computer model has the storm strengthening and moving northward, eventually arriving in Florida in a week's time. At this point, it is too far out to say with any real certainty, but it's a feature in the atmosphere worth keeping an eye on.
