WAITSFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) - For their 10th annual Do Good Festival, National Life Group asked Lawson's Finest Liquids to blend a beverage that gives back.

"We are getting a really beautiful fruity juicy IPA today," said Kelly Putnam of Lawson's.

The drink is being specially made for National Life Group's annual Do Good Fest .

The July 13 event will feature music, food, and 50 cases of Lawson's exclusive hazy IPA.

"We wanted something fun and light and summery, refreshing successful colors. And they actually had this group in mind that they suggested to us," said Scott Rogers of National Life Group.

"It's gonna be a perfect beverage for a summer concert. So really excited. It seems like a perfect match," said Putnam.

The annual benefit concert has raised over $415,000 since its start in 2014.

This year, Do Good Fest will raise money for the Howard Center and cancer patient fund Branches of Hope.

A dollar from every four-pack of Do Good Brew sold will go toward Do Good Fest beneficiaries.

"It's just a great opportunity for us to put our support behind such a crucial and important event within our greater area," said Putnam.

National Life staff say they're excited for Vermonters to taste the fruit of their labors this year.

Last summer's concert was a wash as the outdoor venue in Montpelier was left soggy from the historic flooding.

"We have totally converted everything from an outdoor venue inside our cafeteria with a real like cabaret feel and feel MTV unplugged style feel," said Rogers.

With fingers crossed for good weather, the insurance company is gearing up for the summer celebration outdoors with good times and Do Good on tap.

"I'm so excited. I mean, the last two weeks before the customer which we now are so much work, but it's all worth it when we say goodbye but at the time and we raised a lot of money," said Rogers.

Do Good Fest kicks off next weekend with all five-dollar ticket sales benefitting cancer patient care and mental health, substance treatment, and development services.
