Letter: Amendment 3 would make Missouri like Illinois on abortion. Don't do it.
As the elected chairman of Madison County, Illinois, I urge Missouri voters to reject Missouri Amendment 3. You don't want to be like Illinois.
If Amendment 3 passes, Missouri will join Illinois as an extreme pro-abortion state, with almost no limits.
Missouri Amendment 3 is deceptive. It's not good for women.
Out-of-state contributors are spending big money to change the Missouri Constitution. The Missouri General Assembly should make state regulations concerning abortion, not out-of-state activists.
In Illinois, we know. Women come to Granite City and Fairview Heights to get abortions, from all over the United States. No questions asked, even if you're a minor. Come to Illinois!
Missouri voters, you don't want this in Missouri.
Vote no on Amendment 3.
