Letter: November election

Gerald Jurries of Green Valley doesn't believe we should judge our president on character alone. Sure, let's let Adolf Hitler run for President because his values aligned with so many other racist, uninformed voters. Gary Hart had to drop out of the race for President based on a "potential extramarital affair." An affair?? The former prez had affairs with two of his wives while married to two others. He is also a convicted felon. I can't imagine how someone wouldn't consider the character of our president as important as his platform, especially a platform built on xenophobia and a desire to divide Americans. As a veteran and former officer of Marines I served some really great senior officers. None of them resembled the former disgraced prez who is still saying he won the election. How do you support a pathological liar and sexual abuser? Character does matter.
