Liberty County, Branford punch tickets to rural state championship game

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - High School volleyball state champions will be crowned this week in Polk County, and four Big Bend teams are looking to bring home some hardware. Chiles, Florida High, Branford, and Liberty County all with a shot. Up first? The rural state semifinals.

The Liberty County Bulldogs, who won the 2022 state title, topped Moore Haven in the first match-up of the day. Branford, who was last year's state runner-up, to Maker took the court after, beating the team who defeated them last year in five seats to lock in their spot against the Bulldogs in Wednesday state championship game, which starts at 10:00 in the morning.
