Lighthouse Louisiana gets $10M for Pathways to Success Project
NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Shining a light across Louisiana.
That's the mission of Lighthouse Louisiana.
And now, WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood says, Lighthouse Louisiana has been awarded $10 million for the Pathways to Success Project.

"That $10 million is going to help us increase workforce opportunity for people with disabilities and we will do that by innovation strategies and also advanced technology," said CEO Dee Budgewater.
The mission here is to empower folks with disabilities.
"Lighthouse Louisiana got started by a group of New Orleans businessmen who decided that they needed to get together and form workforce opportunities for people who were blind," said Budgewater.

What they discover is all the abilities they have giving them the ability to work, create and to find independence.
"We serve all disabilities and we have employees that some are blind, some are visually impaired and some are deaf-blind," said Budgewater.
