LIST: Boil water notices issued across the region
Tenn./Va. (WJHL) — Several localities have issued boil water alerts following Friday's major flood event across the region.
Dozens of families searching for missing loved ones as floodwaters begin to recede
News Channel 11 compiled a list of active boil notices in the area:
Elizabethton Water Resources
First Utility District of Carter County
Hampton Utility
Mount Rogers Health District (on behalf of the Virginia Department of Health)
South Elizabethton Utility
Smyth County, Va.
Erwin Utilities
Newport Utilities
Unicoi County (entirety, per county EMA)
The Town of Jonesborough, the Town of Greeneville and Greene County leaders are also asking residents and businesses to conserve as much water as possible.
