WILKES-BARRE — The Girl Scouts of Penn’s Woods Council will hold a fall open house from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at the council service center in the Cross Valley Centre at 667 North River Street.

WILKES-BARRE– The Little Memphis Blues Orchestra featuring former members of the Taylor Hicks Band will perform at the Woodlands Inn & Resort on Sunday. Doors open at 10 p.m. and the band is expected to play from 10:30 p.m. until close.
Jo-Ann Freda, promoter and publicist for the event, said it is possible Taylor Hicks or other American Idol contestants may perform with the band. Tickets are available at or by calling 919-782-5010. Cost is $15, $20 at the door. The performance is for those 21 and older.
LUZERNE – The Luzerne Merchants Association will have its fall festival from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Main Street. Activities include a parade, entertainment, vendors, pony rides, horse and buggy rides, a petting zoo and Chinese auction.
