WILKES-BARRE – Luzerne County Treasurer Michael L. Morreale announces a limited number of antlerless deer licenses are available to those looking to hunt in Wildlife Management Unit 4E. Sales will be conducted at the Luzerne County Treasurer’s Office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until the supply is exhausted.
HAZLETON – The office of state Rep. Todd Eachus, D-Butler Township, 100 W. Broad St., will be closed for Election Day on Tuesday. The office will resume normal hours of operation, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday.
WILKES-BARRE – An emergency preparedness drill is scheduled for Tuesday at the Main Post Office/Processing Facility, 300 S. Main St.
Representatives from the Postal Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service and local, county, state and federal agencies will participate in various activities throughout the day.
The post office customer lobby will be “evacuated” at about 3:45 p.m. as part of the event. The staged evacuation will be done with minimal interruption to customers. Customers will be allowed access to the facility after the completion of this segment of the drill.
