Local distillery gains national recognition
Jeffersonville, Vt – A Vermont based distillery is getting even more national recognition.
Smugglers Notch distillery has once again been named in U.S.A Today's list of the top ten best craft vodka distilleries in the U.S.
Coming in this year at number 8, the distillery has been named in U.S.A Today's rankings consistently since 2018, and it's their second year receiving the 'best tasting' award for their vodka.
It's one of many accolades for the company, including a double gold medal at the world spirit competition in San Francisco.
President and co-founder, Jeremy Elliott, says it's the quality and care put into their products that makes all the difference.
"It's just unbelievable, really. You can win some things here and there, but that's sort of an award that showcases our entire effort that we put into the whole company, the whole breadth of everything we do, so we're really excited," remarks Elliott.
Smugglers Notch has six different tasting rooms across the green mountain state, with their flagship location in Jeffersonville, next to the infamous Smugglers Notch mountain pass.
