R.Campbell22 min ago
A gaming centre in Londonderry has been covered in red paint and had a window smashed in what police are treating as a hate crime.

An activist group claimed responsibility for the attack on social media Oasis Gaming centre on Shipquay Street shortly before 18:00 BST on Friday.

Police said a fire extinguisher and paint had been thrown at the city centre premises, causing significant damage.

"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident, which at this time, we are treating as a hate crime," Sgt Ross of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened, or who has any information which might assist us with our enquiries, to get in touch."

BBC News NI has contacted Oasis Retail Service for comment.
