Los Angeles magazine and PR maven Kelly Cutrone threw a rockin' soiree at the Sunset Marquis last week to celebrate our October print issue with singing sensation Benson Boone on the cover. Themed "The Music Lover's Issue," the print edition offers interviews with Nick Cave , Kate Pierson , Linda Perry, and Megan Moroney alongside the cover feature on Boone by Steve Appleford. Senior Editor Lina Lecaro also penned a piece celebrating Grammy-recognized albums made in L.A ., with a curated playlist that she spun from all night for party attendees. The issue also features a look at the legendary Sunset Marquis' history and its upcoming renovations by editor Jasmin Rosemberg. The hotel's chic poolside area made for the perfect party backdrop, with Boone's cover image overlooking the soiree.

"What a night! We turned it up and out," Cutrone says of the party. "Loved the magic between L.A. Mag and the Sunset Marquis hotel — perfect union to celebrate the music issue. Hopefully, there will be many more nights to come!" Los Angeles' publisher Chris Gialanella was in attendance along with staff and guests, including Justine Bateman, artist Guerin Swing (who created August's Best of LA cover ), musician David Granados, photographer Mark the Cobrasnake, author Vicky Hamilton, and the team from Launch Left podcasts, including Rain Phoenix and Jennifer Tefft, plus many more. Everyone enjoyed bites catered by the hotel and Mountain Valley Spring Water as well as signature cocktails. See the full photo gallery below. All photos by Irvin Rivera.
