Love County firefighters battle several fires on Sunday

LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - Love County firefighters were kept busy Sunday with several fires.

Around 1 p.m., firefighters responded to a grassfire north of Marietta that involved a partially torn down mobile home, several old vehicles and an old semi-trailer.

While that fire was burning, another fire was reported near the Red River on the east side of the county.

Then, around 5 p.m., responders battled a fire along I-35, south of Marietta, for nearly two hours. The fire spread to pastures on the west side of the interstate.

The Love County Fire Department said as the last fire was winding down, the first fire, north of Marietta, rekindled, sending crews back out to the scene.

All fires were extinguished, according to the department.
