Woman 'Brutally Attacked' At Abington Laundromat: Police

The man police believe "brutally attacked" a woman while she folded clothes inside a township laundromat early Wednesday morning is now in custody. Abington Township Police reported the aggravated assault at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the township's Roslyn section. Police said a man entered the laundromat and "brutally attacked" a woman, punching the woman in the face several times, Lt. Steve Fink said. ( Read More )

$12K Lululemon Theft Thwarted In Upper Dublin Twp.

Two Philadelphia men are in custody after stealing $12,000 in merchandise from the popular Lululemon store, police said. The Upper Dublin Township Police Department said officers responded at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday to a retail theft in progress at the Promenade at Upper Dublin. Police said the suspects had allegedly stolen two large trash bags worth of merchandise valued at $12,000 from the Lululemon store. ( Read More )

Two teenagers are in custody following two carjackings Wednesday, including one in Philadelphia and the other in the parking lot of a township shopping center, police said. The suspects, an 18-year-old and a 14-year-old, were charged with robbery of a motor vehicle and related charges, the Abington Township Police Department said. ( Read More )

Sesame Place Discrimination Lawsuit Dismissed

A federal lawsuit claiming that Sesame Place characters discriminated against two black children has been dismissed by a Philadelphia grand jury, authorities said. A grand jury ruled Thursday that Sesame Place is not liable in a 2022 federal lawsuit brought by a family claiming their two black daughters were snubbed by a character while watching a weekend parade. Herbicide Spraying For Hatboro Lawn-To-Meadow Project Delayed

The controversial spraying of herbicides for the borough's Lawn-to-Meadow Project that was protested by residents didn't happen late last month as planned. Now the borough is working to schedule a new date, officials said on Tuesday. Borough officials said they were notified by DCNR in late August that their contractor, Land Studies, would start working on the initial phases of the project at 130 Spring Ave. ( Read More )
