Madison man killed in northeast Nebraska rollover crash

MADISON, Neb. (KOLN) - A Madison man was killed in a northeast Nebraska crash on Sunday.

Madison County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 32 near Madison at 11:25 a.m.

The sheriff's office determined the SUV was traveling east on Highway 32 when it went off the roadway, overcorrected and rolled into a field.

A passenger, Pha Cen, 68, of Madison, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Faith Regional Health Services (FRHS) where he died from his injuries.

The sheriff's office believes Cen was not using his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver was rescued from the SUV and transported by air to UNMC Omaha with life-threatening injuries. Another passenger was taken to FRHS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Madison Fire & Rescue, Battle Creek Fire & Rescue, Stanton County Emergency Management and LifeNet.
