AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) – The holidays are fast approaching with Thanksgiving just about two weeks away. Food insecurity can be a challenge for some families during this time of the year. The Austin Salvation Army is on a mission to make the holidays a little brighter. John Woodard, Austin Salvation Army captain, said the nonprofit already is seeing a large number of sign-ups for Thanksgiving supplements. There are opportunities for families to give back this holiday season with the Salvation Army Angle Tree .
