Man allegedly steals money during apartment robbery
HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A Madisonville man is facing numerous charges after an alleged robbery at an apartment complex.
Officials with the Madisonville Police Department state at 9:42 p.m. on Monday, Hopkins County Central Dispatch received a robbery report at Cross Creek Apartments. An investigation determined Quortez Greenwood was a suspect where he allegedly assaulted someone, pulled out a gun, took money and fled the scene.
MPD says Greenwood was located in a neighboring apartment. During a search of Greenwood's apartment, officials say the stolen money was there along with a black Taurus handgun, six rounds of ammunition, suspected fentanyl laced Percocet tablets, morphine tablets, meth, marijuana and more money.
Greenwood is being held various charges including robbery, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and trafficking in controlled substance.
