Man arrested for assaulting Upstate Dollar General employee
(WSPA) – A man was arrested Friday morning after a reported assault at a Dollar General in Pickens County.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to the Dollar General located at 2505 Walhalla Highway in Pickens before 11 a.m. after receiving a call about the incident.
It was reported a man later identified as 39-year-old Darell Allen Findley, of Anderson, allegedly assaulted an employee of the store and then left the area on foot.
Details of what may have led to the assault have not been revealed at this time.
Around 7 p.m., Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant on Findley and located the suspect in the 500 block of Terrapin Crossing Road.
Findley was charged with assault & battery of a high and aggravated nature.
He remains in custody at the Pickens County Detention Center according to deputies.
