Man Arrested for Fatally Stabbing 19-Year-Old in Tampa
A 24-year-old man was arrested for fatally stabbing a 19-year-old in Tampa. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested 24-year-old Michael Aldana for murder for the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Arnold Gutierrez in Tampa.
On November 3rd at 2:15am, HCSO's Communications Center received multiple calls reporting a stabbing.
At 2:20am, deputies responded to Northgreen at Carrollwood Apartments, located on Northgreen Avenue in Tampa, where they found Arnold Gutierrez with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Through investigative efforts, detectives learned that Aldana and Gutierrez had engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Aldana stabbed Gutierrez multiple times.
Michael Aldana was arrested and transported to the Orient Road Jail.
"Our hearts go out to the family of the young man whose life was ended in this senseless act of violence," said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Thanks to our detectives' hard work and dedication, the suspect is in custody. We are committed to ensuring that those who choose violence are held accountable."
Aldana is currently facing one charge of First Degree Murder with a Weapon.
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
