Man arrested with modified pistol in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested in Hamden after making threats with an illegal handgun, according to police.
A weapons complaint was sent to Hamden Police stating that 20-year-old Ceion Pettigrew was in possession of a pistol was a drum magazine while operating a white Nissan Altima.
Police found Pettigrew and the vehicle near the corner of Haven Street and Clay Street and ordered him to stop. Pettigrew fled on foot and police apprehended him without incident.
There was no firearm on Pettigrew at the time of his arrest. Video footage led police to a residence on Haven Street where the pistol with the drum magazine was located.
