Man charged with grabbing women in Midtown twice in one day
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 38-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexually assaulting two women in Midtown last month.
The first attack happened around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at a bus stop at West End Avenue and 25th Avenue.
Metro police reported a woman was walking to the bus stop when Thomas Winbush began to follow her. Once she got to the bus stop, Winbush reportedly grabbed her buttocks and ran away.

The victim provided officers with a suspect description and investigators used surveillance footage to identify the man as Winbush, according to an arrest warrant.
Winbush was arrested on Oct. 30 for sexually assaulting a second woman at the McDonald's located on Broadway.

He was taken into custody Tuesday for the assault of the initial woman. He was booked into the Metro jail on felony sexual battery charges and has since been released.
Winbush has a history of assault against women in Nashville. In Sept. 2020, he was charged with stabbing a woman on the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge. He pleaded guilty to that charge and paid a $500 fine.
