Man convicted of multiple sex abuse crimes in New Orleans sentenced
NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — A man who has been convicted of three separate sex abuse crimes has been sentenced.
Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams announced that Navarri Henderson was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of crimes including sexual assault and domestic abuse on Monday, Nov. 4.

The district attorney's office reported that Henderson attacked a woman who was jogging on the levee in Algiers Point in 2016 and attacked and raped another woman who was getting out of an Uber in 2018.
According to court documents, Henderson also broke the jaw of his then-girlfriend who was pregnant in 2019.
Court documents state that DNA evidence linked Henderson to the cases, leading to his arrest conviction.

On Monday, Williams announced Henderson's life sentence.
"Today's sentence is not just a win for these courageous survivors but a victory for every survivor who continues to fight for justice," said Williams. "Their strength and resilience are a beacon of hope for our entire community."
