Man dies after fight on N.J. city street, cops say

A man died on Wednesday as a result of serious injuries he suffered during a fight in New Brunswick, officials said.

Gonzalo Napoleon Quispez-Parades, 23, of New Brunswick, was found unconscious on a sidewalk on Seaman Street with a large wound to the abdomen area, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. He was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.

Police responded to the scene when a 911 call at 10:55 p.m. reported that a man was bleeding profusely.

An investigation has since found the victim had suffered serious injuries as a result of a physical fight, prosecutors said.

No arrests have been made. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is asking anyone with tips in the case to call Detective Stephanie Redline at 732-745-3316.
